About Brian

Hi, I’m Brian. I did the right thing. I went to college. I went to grad school. I got a great job. I had a million ideas swirling through my head of how successful I would be and how a high paying job would provide me with the freedom to live the way I wanted to. After sitting in a windowless cube for two and a half years, I quit my job and made a run for it.

After a stint as a Location Independent Professional, during which time I ran a business called Shortcut To China, I settled back down in Denver and have started up more sustainable businesses.

Today, I run SB Smith West (a real estate consulting company), ForeclosureJet (a foreclosure information company), and am the Managing Partner at Wazee Union (a unique real estate venture in Denver, CO). I am my own boss.

For what it’s worth, I have a BS in Finance and Real estate and an MSc in Finance.
